Gordon-Darby Successfully Implements New License Sales System for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD)
On October 20, 2013, Gordon-Darby successfully began operations of the new License Sales System (LSS) – Texas License Connection – for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD).
The Texas License Connection will be used to issue over 2.4 million annual hunting and fishing licenses across the State of Texas. Implementation of this program included migration of legacy program data and the deployment of approximately 2,200 point-of-sale units which will be operated by over 1,800 License Agents. In addition to the license sales database system, Gordon-Darby will manage the telecommunications network and electronic data transmission and will provide support services which include a call center and service depot.
We are proud of our accomplishment in transitioning the system from the existing contractor, migrating legacy data with no disruption in service, and implementing a new system that was totally seamless and transparent to the end users.
